From September 5 to 10, 2017, Japan will be the proud host of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Grand Champions Cup, which will take place at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium and Nippongaishi Hall.

Japan hosted every edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Grand Champions Cup, which is held every four years since its inception in 1993.

The FIVB Volleyball World Grand Champions Cup features a total of six teams per gender with the host nation, Japan, and four continental winners from Asia, Europe, NORCECA and South America, and one wild card entry granted by the FIVB, host broadcaster NTV and host Japan Volleyball Association.

Brazil are the first country to win the competition twice, with Cuba, Russia, China and Italy also claiming titles in the past.
